Please tell us a little about yourself

Hello everyone my name is Tinnakorn but I am also well known by my nickname Pong.
I live in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Currently I am working as a creative in an advertising agency.

I am usually shy around strangers, but I am friendly and more relaxed with people I am familiar with.

How did you first become interested in photography? 

At the start of my photographic journey, I admired the many beautiful photographs from various world reknowned photographers.  Consequently, over time, I became more and more fascinated with photography and as a result I began to learn about photography more seriously.

Most of your images are taken using flash. Can you tell us why you use flash? 

I usually apply flash as an experimental photographic technique. I’m always learning different ways to use flash and it makes photography so much more enjoyable to me.  

Do you prefer the single image or working on projects or a series? 

I think it depends on the purpose of a project and what a person wants to show through their work.

Personally, I prefer working on projects or on a series because I usually have many ideas about what I want to communicate  through my photography this way.

Do you have any favourite situations or subjects you like to photograph? 

Currently, I’m fascinated with the form of jellyfish. The body language of jellyfish is so amazing and it makes me feel both happy and calm. I want to convey this to the viewer through my photographs so they feel the same way.

Tell us a little about your photographic style and what you want to convey to the viewer through your style? 

In my opinion, I don’t really focus much on a particular style or technique of photography.  Instead, I focus on subjects that I am interested in , and I try to create images from my vision and the ideas I have, as best as I can.

According to you what are the qualities of a memorable photo? 

I believe that the qualities of a photo are dependent on how the photographer can best create images that demonstrate what he or she feels or cares deeply about . This is what makes a photograph the most memorable in my opinion.

Is there a particular photographer who has influenced your work? 

There are many photographers who have influenced my work, not just one particular photographer. For example, I have learned a lot of photography techniques from Kanrapee  Chokpaiboon, Kamonlak Sukchai, Jetwichan Chaowadee, Rab Thanasorn and Daniel Huerte, which has helped me develop my work and style.

I also love to experiment with different types of photography to improve my skills.
